The first Olympic distance (XCO) race in the Arthurs Seat State Park took place in April 2017
The club held its first XC race on the Arthurs Seat trail network at the end of last month, for its first event and a one off race that wasn’t apart of a series there was a great turn out of riders and spectators. The race was run as a XCO format on a 4.5k track that certainly presented a challenge for riders but was well received, as with all our events its a big learning curve and hopefully we can grow as a club to provide better events of this nature in the future.
The local bike shops really helped make the event what it was with a huge amount of support in the way of prizes and marques to make up the event village, the club and riders appreciate the support.
