Social Rides

Come and join us on a Sunday morning for a social ride around some of Victoria’s best mixed trails

Our Social rides are monthly on the first Sunday of the month unless otherwise posted. We will be meeting and leaving from the Hillview community reserve mountain bike car park (not opposite the shops) at 8am (SHARP), and riding as a group through the park/roadside trails. These rides are a great way to meet other riders and members, in a social and relaxed environment.

Whilst we encourage membership, you don’t have to be a member to join in.

For new riders/members, we try to ensure we structure the ride to suit all abilities and fitness levels, so don’t be concerned about coming and being a part of the action. We often have riders leaving the group ride early because of time constraints or varying fitness abilities, and we will ensure if you are new to the trails, you get back to the starting point safely.

Riders under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Safety Disclaimer:
Please note that participation on our social rides is entirely at your own risk. Mountain biking is inherently dangerous. Red Hill Riders MTB Club does not provide insurance for participants, nor do we accept any liability for injuries or damage sustained during the ride. While insured membership is not required to join, we strongly encourage riders to consider AusCycling memberships with personal insurance cover, or obtaining other suitable insurance cover.

Helmet

All riders must wear an Australian Standards approved helmet

Water & Nutrition

Ensure you bring at least 1 litre of water and some energy bars or fruit

The Red Hill Riders Mountain Bike Club acknowledges the Bunurong people, who have been the custodians of this land for many thousands of years. We pay respect to their elders past and present.  We respect the deep and continuing connection that Bunurong traditional owners have to these lands & waters and we recognise their ongoing role in caring for country.
