Red Hill Riders MTBC are running its inaugural event on the Arthurs Seat Trail Network, this event will highlight the area and its amazing trails that are spread across Arthurs Seat and allow riders to check out the incredible views of Port Phillip Bay, the You Yangs and on a clear day the City of Melbourne. Come along and experience the varied terrain that we have to offer in a format of racing, that is great fun for everyone!
Riders should be prepared to ride a distance of around 25 kilometres with an expected vertical accent of over 1000 meters of climbing, this will be spread across a number of stages that will be confirmed closer to the event date.
The event will be run as a multiple stage gravity enduro event, including timed special stages and liaison stages. Competitors must follow the event organisers rules and route and must follow the states road rules.

SATURDAY:
REGO/PRACTICE 8AM – 2:00PM
PROLOGUE 3PM
Registration and practice opens on Saturday 24th from 8am, riders must have registered and collected their race plate prior to practicing the stages on Saturday.
Prologue will be run after practice, riders should be at the event village to be briefed on the Prologue stage at 2.30pm with racing to begin from 3pm.
SUNDAY:

RIDER BRIEFING 9AM
RACING TO BEGIN AFTERWARDS
Rider briefing will commence at 9am on Sunday prior to racing at the event village, riders will depart in there seeded groups and follow the event signage to the various special stages.
Riders in classes U15, U17 and Sport Men/Women will do one less stage than the rest of the field.
The event will be run as a multiple stage event, including timed special stages and liaison stages. Competitors must follow the event organisers rules and route and must follow the states road rules.
THIS IS A NON SHUTTLING EVENT ANY ONE CAUGHT DOING SO DURING THE EVENT WILL BE DISQUALIFIED .
The event village will be located in the Hillview Community Reserve, Boundary Rd Dromana, parking will be adjacent to this and signposted for the event, local riders are encouraged to be dropped off where possible to save car spaces.
No dogs are allowed in the confines of the park and no alcohol is to be consumed in Hillview Reserve.
MTBA Safety Rules
All riders must wear a full faced helmet meeting AS2063 during all special stages. Helmets with a detachable mouthpiece are permitted. In all cases, a full faced helmet of AS2063 standard is acceptable for all stages.
From 2016 only AS2063 will be permitted in Junior and Masters categories.
In Under 17 and below the following equipment is mandatory and must be worn during all special stages.
● Knee pads
● Elbow pads
● Full finger gloves.
